The Investors for the Black Sands Resort at Peter’s Hope have set new targets project completion, with the first target for completion set for August of 2023.
The new targets were brought up and discussed by the Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves during a call to the Issue At Hand program on Sunday.
“I’ve been advised that there are workers at Black Sands, I’ve been going to that beach over the last few weeks, at least once a week, down at Peter’s Hope,” he said.
He then goes on to detail the most recent information provided to him by the resort investors.
“The investors said that August next year they should be finished—they’re targeting to finish the rooms in the ten villas, and then they want to begin the 200 room block. That’s their new target,” Gonsalves said.
The Prime Minister also made mention of future work to be done on ancillary facilities that are to be constructed.
The Black Sands Resort project consists of three phases, which involves ten villas, each with five rooms. Phases two and three will see the construction of a hotel block comprising an additional 350 rooms.
