More than 2000 teachers in Trinidad and Tobago have been medically assessed as part of a mass medical exercise.
The exercise was made possible through a collaboration T&T’s Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health.
The assessments were conducted during the July-August vacation, Loop News reports.
Of the 3,319 teachers listed for assessment, to date, 2,055 have been completed.
Through the collaboration, T&T’s teachers who have already worked the mandatory two years of continuous service are now eligible to receive their Certificate of Fitness based on the medical assessment and a favourable staff report.
