Over 1,000 persons are to be employed during the construction phase of the Sandals resort project.
This is according to this country’s Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, who made the disclosure while speaking on the Issues at Hand program aired on WeFM.
“Camillo came by me this morning to give me a brief on some matters and there’s some music to my ears He’s getting an assessment from all the investors.
He tells me that Sandals told him- well they gave him the information in writing.
They will start about March/April with about 600 workers, but by July next year when they’re under full construction down at Buccament, they’ll have 100 employees, could you imagine 1,000 employees in one location?” Gonsalves said.
The leadership of Sandals Resorts International signed an agreement back in July of this year to operate here in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
