St. Vincent and the Grenadines has reported one new COVID-19 death, following the passing of an unvaccinated 92 year old male.
According to the latest COVID-19 update from the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment, he was admitted to the Isolation Ward at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital on February 4th, 2022. He died on the 13th of February, 2022 of COVID-19 pneumonia.
His death brings the death toll from COVID-19 in country to 103. Of those 103 deaths, 4 of the deceased were fully vaccinated, 1 was partially vaccinated and 98 were unvaccinated.
Also confirmed by the ministry’s report was the recording of 2 new PCR COVID-19 cases, 1 new rapid antigen cases, as well as 9 new recoveries. Active cases of the virus in SVG now stand at 101.
There are currently 7 patients hospitalized with COVID-19; 6 of them being unvaccinated and 1 being fully vaccinated.
