There have been new entry protocols put in place for cruise ship passengers looking to visit St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The Hon. St. Clair Prince, this country’s Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment during a recent appearance on the Shake Up program, discussed these new entry protocols.

“The crew or passenger must arrive with a negative PCR test done 24-48 hours prior to boarding the ship; must submit the cruise manifest maritime declaration of health and negative PCR results at least 24 hours prior to arrival.” He said.

Minister Prince noted that passengers or crew members that arrive by air to join the cruise will be subject to protocols for entry by air.

He then goes on to discuss the arrival procedure for cruise passengers.

“When you come off the ship, you go directly to a taxi , with a vaccinated driver, the tour guide or whoever the agent is will have to be fully vaccinated as well” he said.

The Health Minister said that locations that cruise passengers visit will be closed to the general public when the passengers are there, in the interest of public safety. The cruise passenger will then go directly back to the taxi and back to the ship, minimizing the possibility of contact with the general public.
