This country’s Minister of Agriculture Hon. Saboto Caesar, while speaking on radio earlier this week made an appeal to the farmers, fisherfolk, as well all in the public service of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to get vaccinated.

“After such hard work and dedication by the staff in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to get the vaccine here, I’m really encouraging the farmers, the fisherfolk of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the persons who are in the public service and everyone to go out to the clinics tomorrow, the day after to attend the different areas that are established where the nurses are and get your vaccine, because if you don’t, the economic issues which we are grappling with because of the pandemic, they are going to last much longer.” Minister Caesar said.

COVID-19 severely affected the global economy and financial markets. Significant reductions in income, a rise in unemployment, and disruptions in the transportation, service, and manufacturing industries are among the consequences of the disease mitigation measures that have been implemented in many countries.
