St.Vincent and the Grenadines is set to begin local PCR testing soon. The in-country laboratory annex has been finished at the site nurses hostel, with training about to be concluded. The first official test may be performed as early as, Monday 15th June, 2020.

There was a postponement from the original test start date due to the rescheduling of PAHO training sessions.

On Friday, two more PCR test machines and accompanying test kits were received from Taiwan. St.Vincent and the Grenadines currently has enough reagents and supplies to carry out over 8,000 PCR tests for COVID-19.
