A former police constable of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police was on Tuesday found guilty of breaking and entering and official corruption, in connection with the removal of ammunition from the Georgetown Police Station last year.

Zackrie Latham was found guilty on December 13th. He was accused of trespassing and stealing ammunition from the Armory between January 1 and April 1 of 2021 and between April 30 and May 1 of that same year while employed as a police officer at the Georgetown Police Station.

The former police constable was accused of using his position as a police officer to get property for himself through corruption.

On May 17, 2022, Latham was exonerated of ten of the 13 charges against him.

Included in the accusations are five for possessing firearms, one for possessing ammunition, two for selling firearms, one for selling ammunition, and one for money laundering.
