Farmers and fishers receiving their income support this week will also be receiving information on the COVID-19 vaccine, as well as be able to make appointments to get vaccinated in the future. This is according to the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Rural Transformation, Industry and Labour the Hon. Saboto Caesar during a recent radio interview.

“It will be remissed of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, not to use this opportunity to provide farmers and fishers with the information; whether it’s the pamphlets or the leaflets, which will be provided by the Ministry of Health; the information as to what the vaccine all about, the issues surrounding the vaccine, and I know that there are excellent pamphlets and information around.” He said.

Minister Caesar says that at each payment station there will be someone handing out information on the vaccines to persons who have not taken the vaccine as yet and require more information in order to make a decision. He said that lack of information is to blame for some people in SVG’s reluctance to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
