Chief Medical Officer Dr. Simone Keizer Beache while speaking on NBC Radio on Monday, said that everyone should be wearing an N95 mask or double masking, to ensure their protection against COVID-19, vaccinated or not.

“What needs to happen is—even if you’re vaccinated and especially if you are later than five months since your last dose of your vaccine, you should be extremely careful in terms of wearing your N95 mask—well actually everybody should be wearing a N95 mask or double masking, at least.” The CMO said.

Dr. Keizer Beache emphasised the importance of being cautious, regardless of vaccination status.

“Whether we are vaccinated or not we need to be very careful. If we are vaccinated, we do have some reduced vulnerability to severe disease and death that is not disputed.” She said.
