A non-profit organization, is speaking out against the growing number of murders in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

On its Facebook Post, Equal Rights, Access and Opportunities SVG Inc. said it is deeply concerned about the homicides that occurred in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (“SVG”) in 2022, which sets a new record for confirmed homicides in SVG, within a single year.

The group says violent crimes, especially those involving lethal force, appear to be at an all-time high in contemporary Vincentian society, in particular, the gruesome nature of some of these violent crimes, especially those that were perpetuated against women.

ERAO SVG says it strongly condemns all heinous crimes and reminds Vincentians that all human beings have a right to life.
