Dr. Roger Duncan Medical Officer of Health, while appearing as a guest on VC3’s Roundtable talk, discussed the covid-19 protocols as it relates to travelers that come to St. Vincent and the Grenadines by yacht.
“It’s not that different from those that arrive by air. So when the yachts enter, they will be tested upon arrival, so that’s that first test and they quarantine on the yacht. They will then wait for five days and then they will be retested again.
So if they’re negative at that point, we allow them to move around in a controlled way, so they need to log daily with us, where they are, where they’re going, what they’re doing, submit temperature checks on a daily basis of their crew and others on board. So it’s not very much different from what we do with people arriving by air.”
St. Vincent and the Grenadines currently has a total of one hundred (100) COVID-19 cases, eighty- two (82) of which have recovered. There are eighteen (18) active COVID-19 cases, all imported from countries categorized as high risk.
Im sorry but Mr Duncans Quarantine protocol are totally different for those who enter by Air and those with money on the Yachts. whites on Yachts are allowed to move around the Island after 5 days with a positive test, however those who enter by air must complete a further 9 plus days.
Why is it one rule for the rich whites and another for the Vincentian people returning home???
Most Covid 19 cases I suspect is brought in by those on Yachts!!!
Its time we put our Black Vincentians first, before the Rich whites
