Mr. Garth Saunders Chief Executive Officer of the Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA) during a press conference discussed the availability of water in various areas, following the explosive eruption of the La Soufriere volcano.

“As persons know all systems have been restored with the exception of those three systems, those three water supply systems in Fancy, Owia and Sandy Bay; we have now water extended by pipeline to Orange Hill. There’s a standpipe in Orange Hill; so all of Georgetown in that orange area, orange zone and now part of the red zone. Water is available in Orange Hill, so that folks in Sandy Bay, residents in Sandy Bay who are venturing into that area to do cleaning can access water, transport water, to assist with that cleaning, because we know cleaning can never be complete without water.” He said.
