The Buildings, Roads and General Services Authority, BRAGSA, commenced its Christmas road cleaning program today, in various communities throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The program is expected to run for a period of 2 – 3 weeks at a cost of approximately 3 million EC dollars and will employ approximately 5500 persons. These include gangs, jobbers and truckers.

BRAGSA says it would be focusing mainly on the clearing of drains and road verges.

The authority is also continuing with its 2015 Road Repair Program and all attempts are being made to schedule and implement these repair works to accommodate motorists and road users.

The patching units are also out doing patching in various communities throughout mainland St.Vincent and some parts of Kingstown.

BRAGSA says it looks forward to the co-operation of the public with a view that works will be completed on schedule and with minimal disruption.
