An additional eighty (80) persons will be awarded grants through the Promoting Youth Micro Enterprises (PRYME) programme.

The announcement of the new awardees was made on Monday afternoon at an event at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conference room which began at 1:30 p.m.

Monday’s disbursement, which amounts to over $600,000, will represent the second batch of persons to receive funding for their business ventures through PRYME.

PRYME is being fast tracked as one of the stimulus measures in the face of the economic fallout being experienced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Monday afternoon’s event also saw the launch of the web application portal for the program which was first announced during the 2020 Budget address and was introduced to fill a gap in existing programmes for entrepreneurs.
