48 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, according to NEMO’s Health Services Subcommittee’s latest report. The new cases were recorded from 222 samples collected on Sunday January 2nd, 2022, resulting in a positivity rate of 21.6%.
Active cases of COVID-19 have now risen to 603.
27 new COVID-19 recoveries were also confirmed by the report.
There are currently 16 patients admitted for COVID-19 in country, all of whom are at the COVID-19 ward at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital. Two are vaccinated, fourteen are unvaccinated.
SVG’s COVID-19 death toll remains unchanged at 83.
Since March of 2020 there have been 6039 COVID-19 positive cases and 5353 recoveries reported in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
