Nine Vincentians are expected to return to the state on Wednesday, May 13, on board a Carnival Cruise line.

The announcement was made by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, while speaking on We FM, as he brought the nation up to date on a number of matters related to covid-19.

Dr. Gonsalves said the returning nationals will return to the state, under the same protocols.

Twenty (25) sailors will return via Disney Cruise lines on May 20th, while 400 sailors are expected to return via Royal Caribbean, sometime during the course of this month.

On Saturday 9th May, St. Vincent and the Grenadines welcomed home ninety-two (92) Vincentians, 91 of whom worked on various Carnival Cruise line vessels, were transferred to the Carnival Glory on May 2, 2020 in the Bahamas.

All of the Vincentian nationals disembarked after initially being screened for SARS-CoV-2 virus (the virus which causes COVID-19) exposure.
