A 79 year old man has been arrested and charged with the offense of motor vehicle manslaughter.
According to police investigations 79 year old Julius Dublin of Fitz Hughes was driving motor vehicle T-5778 in a dangerous manner along the Chateaubelair Public Road and struck 74 year old Cosmore Lewis formerly of Chateaubelair.
The 74 year old mason died on July 4th 2022.
Dublin appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate Court on Friday 29th September 2023 for an arraignment. He was not called upon to plea to the indictable charge. He was granted bail in the sum of $20,000 with one surety.
The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Serious Offences Court for a hearing on October 2nd.
