5 new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported from 77 samples processed on Tuesday May 18th, 2021, resulting in a positivity rate of 6.5%.
6 new recoveries were noted over the reporting period. 156 cases are currently active and 12 persons with COVID-19 have died. 1,954 cases of COVID-19 and 1,786 recoveries have been recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines since March 2020.
NEMO’s Health Services Subcommittee is urging the public to continue to use masks, sanitize, physically distance and get vaccinated to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
According to the most recent COVID-19 update dashboard from the Ministry of Health, a total of 18,027 persons in country have been vaccinated against the virus.
