According to the most recent COVID-19 report by NEMO’s Health Services Subcommittee, 16 cases of COVID-19 have been detected at shelters in SVG.

The release stated that 18 new cases in total had been reported from 192 samples, 16 of which turned out to be evacuees.

Also included in the report were 12 confirmed COVID-19 recoveries, which brings SVG’s total recoveries to 1, 731.

11 COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the country.

Since March of 2020 a total of 1,882 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

NEMO, in its release continued to urge the Vincentian public to use masks, sanitize, physically distance and get vaccinated to reduce the spread of the virus in SVG.
