Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Keisal Peters has cautioned the Vincentian public that if country’s vaccinations numbers do not improve, SVG runs the risk of being left behind.

“If we, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, don’t make that move and take a step and say well okay let us try and see, you know, if this vaccine will get us on the right track and take our vaccines then we will be left behind when the world’s economy starts running again, we will be left behind because when they look at our numbers they’re going to say not enough people in St. Vincent and the Grenadines have been vaccinated so I don’t think we should make St. Vincent a destination stop in our cruise, it will affect us.” Minister Peters said.

According to the most recent COVID-19 update dashboard released by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment 10,124 persons have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in SVG.
