There will be scaled back versions of rural carnival activities taking place this VincyMas 2022, due to time constraints.
This is according to Marketing Officer at Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) Esworth “Ezzie” Roberts, who made the disclosure during an interview on WEFM’s Activated Mornings earlier today.
“It would have been difficult to have all the rurals activated within that time to really do an effective rural carnival schedule like we usually have.” He said.
Mr. Roberts gave the assurance that there will be rural carnival despite the time constraints.
“However, there will still be some rural carnival activities. So you will find activities on the windward side, on the leeward side and in the Grenadines, we have been in contact with some of these groups.”
He said that that the CDC is aiming to have three major rural carnival events.
“You will find a scaled back version of the rural carnival activities because of the fact I just mentioned before, the time frame, but there will definitely be a rural carnival activities” he said.
The CDC’s Marking Officer commended the rural carnival committees for when quickly they were able to organize the upcoming carnival actitivies.
The first event on the CDC’s calendar of events, Energy, is slated to take place this Saturday April 23rd at the Geest Shed in Kingstown.
