Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Ralph Gonsalves, during a call to NBC radio noted that 13.4 million EC dollars has been spent in income support for various sectors of workers from April 16th , 2020 to the June 18 th ,2021. The support ranged from 3- 6 months. The Prime Minister also indicated that other categories of workers are also asking for support.
“There are a lot of resources which we have mobilized for paying out and a lot of different categories are asking for further assistance and I know of this request and I will talk to the Ministry of Finance and see how things are going with the resources and if we can give another payment to the persons who are involved in school activities; the vendors.” He said.
