Birthday celebrations were held in Grenada for Veronica Lewis who turned 105 years old earlier this week.

The celebration was shared on social media by the Ministry of Social and Community Development.

Lewis was visited by Senator Gloria Ann Thomas, Minister of State with responsibility for Social Development and Gender Affairs within the Ministry of Social and Community Development, Housing and Gender Affairs.

Former Social Development minister Delma Thomas was also present to celebrate the centenarian’s birthday.

The post read: “While some people may reminisce on their 21st Birthday, one woman is celebrating her 105th birthday. Ms Veronica Lewis of La Fillette, St Andrew’s, born on December 28, 1918, celebrated her 105th birthday yesterday and was visited on her special day by none other than Senator Gloria Thomas who was accompanied by Delma Thomas.”

The centenarian is one of few people in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique over the age of 100.
