The Royal Bahamas Police Force is currently investigating a fatal shooting that took place on Monday October 28th, 2024, that left three men dead.
According to the police, shortly before 4:00 pm, they were alerted about gunfire on Step Street-Fox Hill. A group of about 10 men were gathered at an outdoor car garage, when a vehicle approached and three masked men armed with high powered weapons exited and opened fire on the group. The perpetrators returned to their vehicle and fled the scene.
Upon arrival, officers found three unresponsive males suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the property.
Commissioner of Police, Clayton Fernande, commented, “What our intel is saying to us is that an individual who was able to get away was the intended target…. He is on bail for murder and he is being monitored”.
He said the police have since detained the individual, who is assisting in their investigations and that they believe he was the intended target for this recent triple murder.
“All hands have to be on deck in order to win this or slow this crime situation down. If we don’t, some other people will die. But your Royal Bahamas Police Force will continue to ensure that the Bahamian people and visitors to our shores are safe,” the commissioner said.
