Vincentian singer, songwriter and environmentalist, Hayden Billingy, has been nominated and is a finalist for the regional artiste of the decade, in the gospel music awards.
Billingy said, “I’m elated to be nominated alongside the likes of Samuel Medas, Sherwin Garner and other notable artistes across the region.”
Speaking in an interview on WE FM’s Activated Mornings program about his new song ‘Not giving up’, Billingy said, “I pride myself on creating music that is inspirational and connects with an audience that is looking for something that could encourage them.”
Billingy was also previously awarded the best documentary/short film category for the short film/music video for his song “Shout it out” in 2021 and revealed that he has plans to release an album soon, covering various genres of music.
The award ceremony is expected to take place in Antigua and Barbuda on December 1st, 2024.
Other nominees include Emrand Henry, John Yarde, Samuel Medas and Sherwin Gardner.
