A bus driver in Antigua will be spending over 20 years in prison, for raping two minors in two separate incidents.
Addison Browne, who is currently serving 13 years for unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old, was given an additional prison sentence after admitting to sexually assaulting a second minor.
A sentence of 9 years and 4 months was yesterday handed down by Justice Ann-Marie Smith, after Browne changed his plea to guilty for unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl in 2020.
The most recent sentence relates to an incident where Browne offered to give the victim and a cousin a ride home.
After dropping the cousin home, he made a detour to engage in sexual relations with the young girl.
Similarly, in 2019, he was entrusted to take another 13 year-old girl home, but instead tied her up and raped her.
Both sentences are set to run consecutively.
