An American couple, Arthur and Kim Miller, made history as they became the first black couple to get married underwater in the Caribbean.
The wedding took place in Grenada.
Pure Grenada extended their gratitude for choosing Grenada in a social media post saying, “Congratulations once again to this trailblazing couple for creating a memory that will be forever etched in the heart of Grenada’s pristine waters!”
Speaking to a member of the media, the bride said she always had it as a goal and that she got the idea when she read it in a book after becoming a certified open water diver.
She added that it took about four months to plan, noting that the groom was a bit hesitant at first but the idea eventually grew on him.
The first underwater Caribbean wedding took place in St Lucia in 2019.
