The Month of November sees the commencement of the celebration and awareness campaign geared to heighten awareness about the scourges of Domestic Violence.

In light of this, the Gender Affairs Division within the Ministry of National Mobilisation and Social Development would be commemorating the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence during the period November 25 to December 10, 2018.

The theme for this year is “Orange the World: HearMeToo”.

Among the series of activities planned for the 16 day period includes a Church Service at St. Joseph’s Spiritual Baptist Church, in North Union on November 25, a Training Workshop for Stakeholders on November 26, Awareness Campaigns in Kingstown on November 29 and in Bequia on November 30, a Panel Discussion -“Voices of Domestic Violence Survivors and Advocates” on December 2 and on December 10-Human Rights Day there will be a Candlelight March and Rally at Barrouallie.
