As the 2024 competitive Track & Field season gets set to begin, Team Athletics SVG has strengthened its capacity as it relates to technical officials. A training workshop was held on Saturday, November 25th , for the Hy Tek Meet Manager system.
The system is used to run track and field competitions, scheduling events, and sorting athletes into heats. The workshop, which was run by the head of TASVG’s Meet Manager unit, Mrs. Suzanna Ollivierre, saw approximately 15 participants learn the entire system, from creating to executing competitions.
The participants were drawn from the Division of Sports and Physical Activity, the Ministry of Education and various schools. The first meet of the season is a development meet scheduled for January 6th, 2024.
