Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness praised the Hanover Police for their effective measures in reducing murders in the parish by 11% compared to the previous year.
He highlighted the transient nature of criminal gangs and emphasized the importance of preventing them from establishing roots anywhere.
During his recent visit to Hanover, Holness commended the police for managing displacement from neighboring parishes and controlling local gang activities.
He underscored the significance of these efforts in enhancing citizen safety and expressed determination to replicate similar successes in neighboring parishes like St James and Westmoreland.
