The Grenada Tourism Authority has announced the launch of a new non-stop flight service connecting Grenada and Georgetown, Guyana, via interCaribbean Airways.
The new connection is scheduled to happen twice-weekly — on Thursdays and Sundays.
CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority, Petra Roach says she is thrilled for the new connection, noting that the Caribbean represents immense potential, and the new strategic route with interCaribbean Airways is a deliberate step toward unlocking that opportunity.
The CEO added, “The shared airtime between Grenada and Guyana offers a unique chance to promote two-destination holidays, showcasing the distinct offerings of both nations.”
Meanwhile, CEO of interCaribbean Airways, Trevor Saddler, said that the move bridges cultures, fosters trade and opens new possibilities for tourism and business.
A five-day familiarization (FAM) trip designed to engross media professionals of both countries in each other’s cultures, experiences, and attractions was held to celebrate the occasion.
