In The Bahamas, police have discovered the wreckage of a two-seater plane that went missing on August 4.
The aircraft, which had departed from Florida and was en route to Marsh Harbour, was found crashed in a marshy area near Leonard Thompson International Airport in Abaco.
The body of the pilot, Christopher Moore, a 59-year-old retired engineer from Kentucky, was also located at the scene.
Moore had been missing since Sunday, and a joint search by the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and the US Coast Guard led to the discovery.
Authorities will investigate the crash, while Moore’s wife, Stacye Love, has expressed her gratitude for his recovery and remembered him fondly.
