St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Monday March 4th, commenced collaboration with the United States Air Force Medical Mission, Lesser Antilles Medical Assistance Team 2024 (LAMAT) in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

According to a release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, the 2024 LAMAT team comprises of 38 dedicated US Air Force active duty and reserve personnel, collaborating with partner nations medical establishments.

This unique partnership aims to deliver real-world benefits and assistance, fostering positive outcomes through international collaboration.

The Lesser Antilles Medical Assistance Team comprises skilled medical professionals and surgeons who have been assembled to provide critical healthcare services to the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines free of charge.

The medical focus areas include Cardiology Surgery, Dental Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and ear, nose, and throat surgery from March 4th to 13th.
