The Guyana Police Force is investigating a fatal accident which occurred at about 3:45 am today on Washer Pond public road in Linden.
The accident involved a car owned and driven by 21-year-old Ivor Mc Nab and a motorcycle driven by 23-year-old Joel Nurse and the pillion rider, 19-year-old Ezekiel Smith.
Reports are that the car was proceeding South along the Washer Pond road while the motorcyclist was proceeding in the opposite direction along the road.
The driver of the car ended up in the path of the motorcycle and, as a result, a collision occurred causing the motorcyclist and pillion rider to fall on the road surface and receive injuries about their bodies.
The motorcycle was then engulfed in flames.
The car driver along with the motorcyclist and pillion rider were all picked up in unconscious condition and taken to the Linden Hospital Complex where they were all seen and examined. The pillion rider was pronounced dead on arrival.
Ivor Mc Nab was admitted for chest pain and Joel Nurse was admitted for fractures to both legs at the said hospital.
