According to Chief Radiographer, Chevonne Stewart, the Radiology Department in St. Vincent and the Grenadines has made significant advancements in recent years.

Increased access to imaging services and cutting-edge technology to improve patient care has been implemented.

Stewart, who was speaking on WE FM’s Issue at Hand program on Sunday, confirmed that radiology services in Kingstown are now available around the clock, eliminating delays previously caused by the on-call system.

The expansion has also brought ultrasound services to multiple health centres across the country.

Efforts are ongoing to further enhance diagnostic services in the Southern Grenadines.

Stewart also mentioned that the transition to fully digital radiography marks a major milestone, ensuring faster processing times, higher-quality images, and improved patient outcomes.

The Chief Radiographer added that safety remains a priority, with protective measures in place for patients and staff.

The public can now access the following services across various locations:

X-rays and Ultrasounds; Available at multiple health centers, Mammography and CT Scans; Available at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, and MRIs; Offered at the Modern Medical Diagnostic Center.
