St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ Attorney General Grenville Williams has emphasized the importance of the ability to de-escalate conflict to society.
He made this point during his remarks at the opening ceremony of the Crime Scene Management Course for thirty local Police Officers at the Argyle Fire Station Training Room.
He said the first instinct of a person met with a challenging situation should be to find a path towards de-escalation.
“…a society where conflict resolution is at the core of our DNA and our psyche, our first instinct must be how can we de-escalate a challenging situation, how can we de-escalate a conflict, how can we do no harm to our fellow human beings,” he said.
The training of the thirty police officers in Crime Scene Management is being facilitated by experts from the Implementation Agency for Crime and Security (IMPACS) and the Regional Security System (RSS) in collaboration with the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF).
