Since July 10, 2024, extensive relief efforts have been underway to support households displaced by recent events, with a significant focus on distributing essential supplies across St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Food boxes, including those from the government and the World Food Programme, have been distributed to individuals in private homes. The initiative also includes hygiene care packages and shelter kits. The distribution effort has made substantial progress, reaching 60.3 percent of displaced households on St. Vincent, totaling approximately 2,697 homes. On Union Island, 316 households are currently receiving aid.

In addition to these efforts, food supplies have been sent to Mayreau and Canouan to bolster hot meal services provided by Community Kitchens on both islands. On Union Island, the 535 workers engaged in the cleanup program are each receiving two hot meals daily from their respective contractors.

The World Central Kitchen (WCK) has been actively involved in providing daily meals to those affected across the Grenadines, with a notable focus on Union Island. However, it has been announced that the WCK program will conclude at the end of this month.

These coordinated relief efforts are crucial in supporting affected communities as they recover and rebuild in the wake of recent disruptions.
