Eighteen outstanding Girl Guides were honoured with the prestigious Chief Commissioner’s Award- Guiding’s highest national honour-at the World Thinking Day celebrations held last Saturday.

This esteemed award recognizes Girl Guides who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the fundamentals of girl guiding, leadership, and community service.

Under the 2025 World Thinking Day theme, “Our Story,” these young women stood proudly, representing the next generation of leaders in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Their remarkable achievements serve as an inspiration to their peers and a testament to the impact of the Girl Guides Association in shaping confident, responsible, and service-oriented individuals.

The awardees include: Annaliese Mapp, Alysson Ambrose, Arianne Kirby, Isabella Sam, Jaida Jackson, Kaci-Ann Primus, Kathryn Miller,

Leah Nanton, Leanique Balkaran, Samaya Duncan and Zaronique Forbes all of No. 1 Kingstown Girl Guides Company; Anicia DeRoché of No. 2 Marriaqua Girl Guides Company; Mya Cumberbatch and Nyah James of No. 3 Kingstown Girl Guides Company; Akilah Gill, Sarai Samuel-John and Shania Williams of No. 27 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, and Zaire Dyer of No. 28 Kingstown Girl Guides Company.

The Chief Commissioner’s Award is the culmination of years of hard work, growth, and commitment to the Guiding Promise and Law.
