On New Year’s Day, the Taiwanese Embassy in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines held its annual flag-raising ceremony, welcoming 2026 with Ambassador Fan and team members from the Embassy, Technical Mission, and OECC.
As the national flag rose with the dawn, prayers were offered for the prosperity of both Taiwan and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
In her remarks, Ambassador Fan highlighted Taiwan’s role as a responsible member of the international community, emphasizing cooperation with democratic allies to uphold peace, stability, and the rules-based international order in the Indo-Pacific.
This year also marks the 45th Anniversary of Diplomatic Ties between Taiwan and SVG, a milestone celebrated as a new chapter in bilateral relations.
Ambassador Fan pledged that Taiwan will continue walking hand-in-hand with the people and government of SVG, strengthening a partnership set to flourish for generations.
