Minister with responsibility for Sports here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Orando Brewster has expressed confidence in SVG’s Vincy Jewels ahead of their defence of their title at the ECCB International Netball Series.
Minister Brewster in an interview with the API said he is absolutely sure that the jewels will put on a performance unlike any seen before.
“First of all, I want to begin by saying that I am absolutely sure that our Vincy Jewels, they are not only going to defend their crown, but they are going to put on a performance that we have never seen before. That is what I am telling you.”
Minister Brewster, during the interview, also gave assurance that the Government will continue to make the necessary investment in facilities that will help to nurture the development of netball in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
“I am putting our government’s money where my mouth is. So the same mouth I have that I know that our Vincy girls are going to come back victorious. We are going to invest heavily into the facility that they will need to also up their game and be as comfortable as possible when they participate in tournaments. So we’re doing our work from our end and you have some work to do when you go over to Grenada on the court.”
