Chief Executive Officer of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority Glen Beache is urging local entrepreneurs in the hotel and tourism industry to invest in their businesses.
Mr. Beache said that this investment should not just be monetary but that entrepreneurs in this space should be prepared to invest the adequate time as well.
“People have to know that they have to invest in their business and when I say invest, it’s not just a matter of the monetary aspect, you have to invest that time, you have to meet your tour operators.
On a number of occasions, we at the tourism authority, we have brought in experts to show people how to price their product.”
Mr. Beache noted that as SVG as a destination continues to grow, they must maintain and keep up to date with the industry or they will be left behind.
