Singer, songwriter and environmentalist, Hayden Billingy, has won the regional artiste of the decade award in the Antigua Barbuda Global Music and Media Awards (ABGMMA).
The award ceremony took place in Antigua and Barbuda on Sunday December 1st.
In a social media post expressing his joy and gratitude, Billingy wrote, “I’m still speechless!! This is a tremendous honour and a testament of God’s faithfulness. This is indeed a watershed moment for my team and I. Thanks to all who voted and for all the encouragement over the hard years when I am almost gave up on music.”
This marks another milestone in his musical journey, as he has previously been nominated for many other music awards and has won the best short film for his music video “Shout it out”.
Billingy was nominated alongside Emrand Henry, John Yarde, Samuel Medas and Sherwin Gardner.
The Antigua Barbuda Global Music & Media Awards Gala Festival is a Global Award Ceremony established in 2015 by So Arise Music International. The event comprises of three (3) major Awards, Antigua Barbuda Gospel Music Awards, Legacy Ball & Media Awards and the newly added Island Groove Awards.
