A 28-year-old of labourer of Clare Valley was arrested and charged with the offences of assault, damage to property and wounding.

According to police, Dishawn Jackson entered the property of a 29-year-old Labourer, of the same address, with intent to commit an offence. Jackson was also charged with damaging one (1) 4×2 aluminium and glass window valued at $500.00 EC by smashing it with a cutlass.

He was further charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding the complainant by cutting him about his body with a piece of broken glass.

The offences were committed in Clare Valley on October 26, 2024.

Jackson appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on December 2, 2024, and pleaded guilty to the charges. He was remanded in custody until December 5, 2024, for sentencing.
