Police are investigating the death of a 73-year-old visitor who died aboard a ferry operating in the Grenadines on Sunday, January 18.

The deceased has been identified as David John Hyde. He was pronounced dead later that day by a district medical officer.

Preliminary information suggests Mr. Hyde may have sustained injuries consistent with a fall. However, police say a post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is appealing to anyone with information that may assist the investigation to contact Police Emergency at 911 or 999, the Criminal Investigations Department at 456-1810, or any police station. All information will be treated confidentially.
