The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has launched an investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred along the Lowmans Bay Public Road earlier this morning.

The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. and claimed the life of Stephen Bulze, a 58-year-old resident of Barrouallie. Preliminary investigations indicate that a motor vehicle owned by a private electrical company was travelling in the direction of Lowmans Bay when it reportedly experienced mechanical difficulties and crashed into a parked crane.

Six male workers, ranging in age from 21 to 54, sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. They were all transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where they remain under medical care.

Police say a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.

The RSVGPF has extended condolences to the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time. The police are also urging all motorists to exercise due care and attention on the nation’s roads and to show courtesy to other road users.
