On Monday, December 29, 2025, at approximately 4:27 p.m., the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Fire Brigade responded to a report of a fire at the Questelles Government School.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the building fully engulfed in flames. They worked diligently to extinguish the blaze, making several trips due to the magnitude of the fire. The fire was fully extinguished by 9:10 p.m.
The building sustained extensive damage, and two electric poles were also damaged; however, VINLEC had already cut power to ensure safety. No additional properties were affected, and there were no injuries reported.
The police are currently investigating the cause of the fire. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 784-456-1810, Police Control at 784-457-1211, or 999/911. All information will be treated confidentially.
