St. Vincent Electricity Services, VINLEC, has launched its 2026 calendar, highlighting the rich history of calypso in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The calendar, titled Kaiso Stories, features twelve landmark songs, each representing a theme that showcases the artistry and social commentary of outstanding calypsonians over the years.

VINLEC CEO Dr. Vaughn Lewis says the initiative aims to engage the public, especially young people, through a monthly competition encouraging them to present covers of these classic calypsos.

He also invites residents to share their favourite calypso songs on VINLEC’s social media channels throughout the year, helping to celebrate the storytelling power and cultural significance of the nation’s calypsonians.
