Over the weekend, Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves held a town hall meeting with Vincentian students studying in Taiwan.

The meeting took place at the building, which houses the embassy of St Vincent and the Grenadines in Taipei.

Before attending the meeting, the Prime Minister visited the embassy and met with H.E. Ambassador Andrea Bowman and her staff briefly.

In his remarks, Prime Minister Gonsalves gave an update on the state of affairs in St Vincent and the Grenadines, including in the areas of tourism, air travel, education, national security, infrastructural development and other matters.

Following his remarks, students engaged him in a Q&,A session on a wide range of youth related issues, such as mental health, employment, sports, information technology, etc.

Vincentian cultural ambassador Peggy Carr, who has resided in Taiwan for the past 24 years, was also honored at the event hosted by Ambassador Bowman and the Vincentian Students Association in Taiwan.
