The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force has released an official statement, giving full credit to the Fishermen and Divers from the Bequia Community who worked with the SVG Coast Guard to retrieved four bodies on January 4th.
According to the release, the RSVGPF said they were aware of an error made in a previous statement where it stated that the four bodies were recovered from the aircraft/sea Coast Guard personnel.
In correcting the error, the statement disclosed that the bodies were recovered from the wreckage by the divers and handed over to the Coast Guard personnel at the scene.
The RSVGPF and the SVG Coast Guard Service in the statement said they value the partnership and collaboration of members of the public in the execution of their duties.
The selfless and brave act of the fishermen and divers were very much appreciated and supported 100 percent by the authorities.
